April 17-23, 2019
Opening Reception: Wednesday, April 17, 6 - 8 PM
Nataly Khvost's painting are at once bold and lyrical in their use of color and shape. They possess a kineticism reminiscent of Futurism, while altogether unique and Promethean in their enchanting world of figures, gods, and places. The experience of her works, which span a wide variety of media, is something like being privy to a dance, the music to which you can only imagine. Khvost was born in Russia in 1952 and has lived and worked in New York since 1992. She has a background in fashion and is a member of the Russian Synthesis Group SINTEZ. Nataly Khvost has exhibited in museums and galleries across the globe, in cities such as Moscow, Amsterdam, and Tokyo to name a few.
