Tenrikyo Mission New York Center

Tenrikyo Mission New York Center (Minister, Rev. Yoichi Fukui) was founded in 1976 as a branch of Tenrikyo Mission Headquarters in America in Los Angeles. The purpose is to nurture Tenrikyo followers on the East Coast of the United States. Tenri Cultural Institute (founded in 1991; Executive Director Michael Yuge) is a division of New York Center located in Greenwich Village in Manhattan. It serves as a Japanese language school, an art gallery and a concert hall. Followers and non-followers alike are welcome to visit both facilities.
