Tenri Cultural Gallery presents the first solo New York exhibition of picture book author and illustrator Maroko amplifying the artist's message of peace to the world through her art.

 "SMILE is LOVE, WA is LOVE--Embracing the world with gratitude project" features an engaging art demonstration to make hearts that mirrors the size of the actual organ to "Feel the greatness of life." The "Feel the greatness of life" workshop will take place during the opening reception on Friday, November 4, 6:30PM-8:30PM.

Maroko defines love to the earth as giving a smile to the children of the future. She hopes to show love to the earth with children through the workshop accompanied by the beautifully clear voice of Kyoko Ogou singing traditional Japanese children's songs and Aki Takahashi on the Japanese electone, an electric organ instrument.
